Applications & Benefits

Cryogenic processing is not a substitute for heat treatment. It is an extension of the heating/quenching/tempering cycle and continues the transformation whereby greater cycle amounts of retained austenite are decomposed, martensite is increased and material attains more uniform hardness.

Applications  (virtually unlimited)

  • Metal tooling, such as forging dies, stamping dies, blanking dies, punches etc.
  • Cutting tools including drills, broaches, end mills, reamers, etc.
  • High performance engine components as well as complete assemblies.
  • Industrial machine parts such as bearings, wear plates sliders, etc.
  • Fleet maintenance. Brake Rotors & drums
  • Racing applications. Performance brake rotors. Gears, engines, etc.
