Forge Plant Reports 200% Increase in Tool Life
After I.C.E. Cryogenic Tempering

Smithville, Ontario, November 1, 1998 - Industrial Cryogenic Enterprises Ltd. A leader in the field of deep cryogenic tempering now stands alone in processing capabilities introduces Tecna to the cryogenic process in April, 1997. As a test, ICE processed two sets of forge dies and one set of shear blades. The actual productions on the processed tooling yielded excellent results.

Die life on forge dies increased an average of 85-90%. The tooling consistency was also tested on subsequent resinks and the results remained the same. At the time of a resink we cut 0.25" off the top of our dies and recut the impression. Even after a resink the increase in die life remained consistent at around 85%.

Shear blades yielded a 200% increase over blades that were not processed cyrogenically.

Since we started processing our tooling cyrogenically, we have experienced the highest production in the history of our firm. We firmly believe that cryogenics played a large roll in attaining this record.

Tecna are currently getting all tooling processed with ICE and will continue to do so in the future.
