ATV Specs: 2005 Custom frame with 2006 KTM 560 SMR. Ported and polished. Complete Cryogenic temper on entire engine and all parts.
Benefits of Cryogenic Tempering:
- A dramatic increase in stopping power. With ICE'd rotors and pads, at 100 mph we only needed 58 ft to stop. Without ICE brakes it took 75ft.
- Power increase of 3%. Rated at 105 hp at the crank.
- No measurable wear on the cylinder wall after 3 years of racing, burning 562 gallons of race fuel and 110 lbs of nitrous. Only the ring gap was measurable. This increased only 3 thou in 3 seasons of racing.
- Decreased engine temperature by 40 degrees F, from 188F to 147 F after race distance.
- The clutch has so far lasted 3 seasons. These are usually replaced each year under racing conditions.
- Drive sprockets have lasted 3 seasons. These are usually replaced after each season.
- Drive chain has lasted 2 seasons. These are usually replaced each season.
